PKK/PJAK zones in Iraqi Kurdistan, 20 PJAK and pro-PKK incidents inside Iran (May–Oct 2026), SDF-held areas in Syria and the pro-Kurdish party vote in Turkey.
Under 10% unshaded
Borders: Natural Earth 1:10m country outlines, simplified as a shared coverage.
KDP / PUK: TNC party-zone polygons (revised 13 Oct 2026). These show party-dominant zones, not verified current control.
PKK/PJAK: TNC security-presence layer (12 Aug 2026), clipped to the Iraqi border. Activity areas, not exclusive territorial control.
Incidents in Iran: TNC audited incident ledger (reviewed 18 Sep 2026), PKK-linked category only: incidents involving or attributed to PJAK/YRK or pro-PKK/PJAK groups (Patriotic Youth of Kurdistan, Kurdistan Martyrs’ Revenge Teams). Some markers record Iranian attacks on YRK positions, or YRK responses to them, because the category marks the Kurdish actor involved rather than who started it; each card says which. Claims are not independent verification; rival claims are noted in each card. The 8 disputed and 3 non-PKK incidents in the ledger are not shown. Three later incidents (Kamyaran 28 Sep, Shaho 15–16 Oct, Degaga 20 Oct) were added on 27 Oct from IranWire, ANHA, ANF, Rudaw and NIAC reporting and are marked as post-audit in their cards. An IRGC claim of 24 Oct to have destroyed a PJAK site gave no location and is not mapped.
Sinjar / YBŞ: Approximate outline drawn by TNC around Sinjar Mountain (OpenStreetMap ridge), extending to Snune and Khanasor in the north-west and al-Qahtaniya in the south-west; not a sourced control boundary. Integration of the YBŞ and YJŞ into Iraqi state forces announced 26 Oct 2026 (ANHA, ANF).
SDF: TNC Syria control layer (27 Apr 2026). The Kobani pocket outline is approximate. Three Hasakah areas, the Tell Brak–Safiya–Hasakah corridor, the Tell Alo–Qamishli Airport–Tell Brak triangle and Hasakah city (approximate urban extent), are shown as mixed arrangements, following the TNC Hasakah control map; they are cut out of the SDF fill.
Turkey: District results for HDP (2018), Green Left (2023) and DEM Party (2024 municipal council) from Seçim Arşivi, compiled from YSK data; district boundaries from geoBoundaries ADM2. The 2024 municipal-council figures leave out village residents outside municipalities in some districts and are not directly comparable with parliamentary votes. Where the party was not on the ballot, no share is shown.
